One critical factor that needs to be considered when you choose a sensor system is how well it can be integrated into new and existing systems. Our absolute rotary encoder GEL 235 therefore offers numerous electrical and mechanical interfaces. A wide variety of bus systems enable it to be used flexibly together with diverse control systems.

A variety of flange types are available for easy mechanical integration of the GEL 235: you can choose a solid shaft as a synchro flange or clamping flange, or a variant with a semi-hollow shaft (quill shaft). As a standard industrial encoder the GEL 235 has been developed with a 58 mm housing.

Besides solid 12 mm, 10 mm and 6 mm shafts we also offer a 15 mm internal diameter quill shaft. Axial and radial cable or plug outlets are available for all models with SSI signal output. The GEL 235 can be integrated into field bus systems such as CANopen or PROFIBUS DP by means of bus covers, also with cable or plug outlets.

In order to optimally exploit the size advantages of the SensorLine GEL 235 we have developed a new type of cable guide for flexible cable outlet: axialflex®.
