| Precision for High Speed Cutting (HSC) applications |
|
|
The task:
Only the slightest of deviations from the relevant optimum cutting speed are permissible for
high-speed cutting as otherwise the wear and tear on the tool increases immensely.
The objective:
- robust, compactly-sized sensor is to function as a feedback control system to ensure
that the correct cutting speed is maintained.
- Deployment of a miniature encoder that fits in a limited amount of space.
Method of solution:
The bearing of the spindle is used and a target wheel is mounted directly on the drive
shaft.
Our solution:
The MiniCoder GEL 2443 senses the target wheel using GMR sensors according to the magnetic
principle without making contact. The encoder is not affected by shocks, vibrations and temperature
fluctuations. The customized production of the target wheel provides special freedom of design. The GEL 2443 MiniCoder is therefore also ideal for integration into small spindles for which
only a small amount of space is available.
Our service offering:
-
Customized production of the target wheels
-
Miniaturized, robust encoder for optimum use of the existing installation space
- Consultation during the design phase
Customer benefits:
- Robust technology ensures reliable operation
- Optional, automatic amplitude control enables easy installation without lengthy
readjustments
- Saves design space
