| Flexible transfer system for presses and stamping machines |
|
|
The task:
An existing press was to be retrofitted to state-of-the-art technology.
Aim:
- Increased stroke rate
- More flexible programming and operation with shorter setting times
Method of solution:
An initiator-controlled press, used to stamp shock absorber brackets out of raw material in
several stages, was fitted with an electronic transfer system that controlled material feed to the
multi-stage press.
Our solution:
The feed axes of the presses were permanently linked electronically to the guide axis, the press
ram and thus to the current position of these. At the heart of the control system is a MotionCard
LD 100, a cam-plate module with PLC functionality, plugged into the installed LD 2000
servoconverters. By operating three of these systems in a CAN bus network, an electronic line shaft
was created to guarantee precise synchronicity between the feed axes and the guide axis.
Our service offering:
Problem analysis, engineering the necessary process step, project management, software
programming, on-site commissioning
Customer benefits:
- Increased stroke rate
- More flexible programming and operation
- Separate collision monitoring no longer required
- Significantly less wear
- Much simpler setting-up operation
- Easy integration into existing CANopen systems
- Shorter setting times
