Brief description:
For young people interested in an IT-oriented career, Lenord + Bauer offers the opportunity of
combining vocational training as an IT clerk (Informatikkauffrau/-mann) with studies at the nearby
University of applied Sciences (FOM) Essen.
During the two-year training ending with the final examination at chamber of commerce and
industry you get to know different departments of Lenord + Bauer and become acquainted with several
fields. Theoretical knowledge is imparted in training schools. Outside of working time you study
around thrice weekly at the FOM. Having finished the Bachelor thesis the study ends after 3.5
years.

Alumni of Bachelor of Science perform function and management tasks in IT-related fields. They
develop business application software, maintain and adapt it to operational requirements where
necessary. You participate in the planning, installation and operation of data processing systems,
prepare IT deployments within the company, tie the IT system into operational tasks and execute
IT-related changes in operational workflows.
Requirements:
- Hochschulreife (general qualification to attend a university) or equivalent qualification and
proficiency in German.
