Senior Hardware Developer for Electronics (m/f)

We are an internationally active specialist in the automation industry, primarily engaged in the development, production and sales of high-performance controllers and sensors for industrial motion automation. Our company enjoys above-average growth.

Senior Hardware Developer for Electronics (m/f)

Your tasks:

  • Hardware development, testing, quality assurance and series introduction of special converter controllers as integral components of drive units
  • Hardware development, testing, quality assurance and series introduction of modular industrial controllers
  • Conceptual design of specific devices in a team environment
  • Design of high-durability high-performance electronic components for use under difficult environmental conditions
  • Digital design of communications interfaces and processor systems (run-time analysis, impedance adjustment, timing verification, etc.)
  • Conditioning of analog signals and audio circuit technology for standard industrial process interfaces

Your profile:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or physics
  • Optimally, several years’ experience as a hardware developer
  • In-depth knowledge of parallel and serial bus concepts for distributed modular systems (e.g. CompactPCI, VMEbus, AdvancedTCA, TDM busses, Ethernet physical layer 100/1000BaseT)
  • Knowledge of industrial standards relevant to equipment safety, EMC and service life calculations
  • Experience in the hardware development of inverters from 100 W up to a maximum of 10 kW for three-phase motors, plus switched-mode power supply units for up to 100 W (SNT and frequency converter technology)
  • Knowledge of customary industrial development tools for schematic entry, PCB design and simulation
  • In-depth technical skills and knowledge, self-reliance, team skills, high personal motivation and commitment
  • Good command of written and spoken English

In addition to hardware development tasks, experience of the following areas of hardware-related software development is an advantage:

  • Knowledge of microcontrollers or DSP
  • Basic knowledge of hardware-related programming using C
  • Design of digital circuits using hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL)
