Supplier Development

We work with partners to continuously improve our products and processes. We rely on consistent supplier development to combat the occasional deviation in a supplier relationship.

"Supplier development" means implementing changes to suppliers with the aim of re-establishing or increasing their effectiveness. Together with the supplier, we develop goals based on classification and evaluation results. This allows different strategies to lead to the same goal:

• Suppliers optimise their own processes in line with commonly defined goals. Progress is regularly analysed and discussed.
• Lenord + Bauer takes responsibility for actively supporting supplier development. In other words, Lenord + Bauer performs jointly defined measures in conjunction with the supplier.
• Suppliers implement adhoc measures at short notice using defined goals. In these cases, we rely on our suppliers to take the initiative.

Each party is expected to integrate its knowledge, ideas and suggestions to optimise the supplier relationship. The number and potential of qualified suggestions are key indicators of the supplier's initiative. These will have a positive effect on the next supplier evaluation.
